Ode To Unbeautiful Things

O unbeautiful things
What are we to forsake you?
What are we to abhor you?
If we can’t adore you
You are just beauty in another form

O unbeautiful things
What are we to define you?
Who are we to judge you?
If what we see is the ugly side
When the beauty is hidden within

O unbeautiful things
Who are we to name you unbeautiful?
If we can’t see the beauty ugliness
Even the unbeautiful have helped sometimes

Beautiful pain,
Isn’t that how the birth of a child ugly?
The fight for justice is ugly
But the outcome is beautiful

If you find the ugly in the beauty
The beauty in the ugly you will see later
Nothing will be different
Just equality.
